Prominent Republican: Obama shouldn't go to Kenya because birthers will get ideas

.com/blogger_img_proxy/ Where's a picture of President Obama obviously rolling his eyes when you need one? If you want yet another piece of evidence of how far gone the Republican Party is, here's an establishment Republican putting the fee-fees of birthers and the humiliation factor for establishment types like himself above the president of the United States of America's participation as a world leader. Former New Hampshire Gov. John H. Sununu is not happy about President Obama's planned trip to Kenya : “I think his trip back to Kenya is going to create a lot of chatter and commentary amongst some of the hard right, who still don’t see him as having been born in the U.S.," Sununu said on the show "America's Newsroom." "I personally think he’s just inciting some chatter on an issue that should have been a dead issue a long time ago,” he said. Basically, Sununu—who was not just a governor but a White House chief of staff under President George. H.W. Bush (but should not be confused with his son, former Sen. John E. Sununu)—feels that the president should plan his travel to avoid doing anything that will cause far-right nutjobs to embarrass themselves and their party. "Don't attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, Mr. President! It might lead Donald Trump to make himself look like an asshole again."
