Lausanne (AFP) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said early Wednesday that global powers had reached an agreement in principle on "all key aspects" of the outlines of an Iranian nuclear deal, Russian media reported. Buenos Aires (AFP) - Argentina's largest cities ground to a halt Tuesday as transport unions went on strike, demanding tax cuts for low-income workers and putting the government on the defensive seven months out from general elections. An eerie quiet reigned over Buenos Aires as buses, trains and subways began a 24-hour shutdown at midnight, emptying the streets in this city of three million people and forcing many businesses to remain closed. The Buenos Aires metro area tops 13 million. The strike caused chaos at airports, with flights cancelled, rerouted or delayed. Several major regional airlines cancelled all flights to and from Argentina for the day, including LAN of Chile and TAM in Brazil. Public transport was also paralyzed in the second and third cities, Cordoba and Rosario. The strike, called by unions opposed to President Cristina Kirchner, is the fourth major stoppage of her administration, which wraps up this year after October 25 elections. Kirchner, who succeeded her late husband Nestor in 2007, is struggling to deal with an economic slowdown, high inflation and a messy debt default as she enters the home stretch of her second and final term. Rush Limbaugh today expressed his annoyance with the argument about gay people being discriminated against just for “who they love.” Limbaugh said it’s not about love, it’s about gay marriage and people with “prohibitions against it” or who don’t engage in “activity which lends credence or support to gay marriage.” And then Limbaugh asked, “where does that stop? If you’re gonna start throwing the phrase around ‘who you love,’ what happens if you love your dog?” He recalled the case of a woman who married a dolphin in England nine years ago and said gay marriage opponents are just being scolded about being “against love.” And, so, Limbaugh wondered, “But ‘who they’ love, what does that mean? On Fox’s The Five today, both Dana Perino and Greg Gutfeld panned what Perino deemed an “unnecessary culture war” over Indiana’s religious freedom law. Perino argued that the tide is turning on gay marriage not just across the country, but within the GOP, and this fight only helps to “nullify” the progress that’s being made in the party to get Republicans to be more open and accepting of gay rights. Gutfeld, meanwhile, said Republicans should be spending more time finding things to unite the country and “focus on the stuff that’s beyond our borders.” Otherwise, he said, it’s this cultural battle that liberals are eager to fight because it distracts from a host of more important issues. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or where you’re going, because today on Google Maps there’s a little Easter Egg that has the potential to stop you dead in your tracks. Today, you can indulge in a game of Pac-Man straight from your web browser, using anywhere with roads as your playground. If you go to Google maps right now, you’ll notice a Pac-Man icon on the bottom-left side of your screen, like this: Clicking the icon, the location your map is set on is converted into a Pac-Man maze, and from there you can use the arrow keys to guide Pac-Man to cherry-gobbling prominence. Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy (D) , whose state was the first to boycott Indiana over a law many say allows businesses to discriminate against the LGBT community, didn't mince any words Tuesday when asked to react to Indiana Gov. Mike Pence's (R) defense of the law. "The governor's not a stupid man, but he's done stupid things," Malloy said Tuesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "Signing this law and quite frankly promoting this law, knowing exactly what it was going to do, was an incredibly stupid thing for him to do." Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act , which Pence signed into law on Thursday, allows businesses in the state to cite religious beliefs as a legal defense. Critics of the law fear it will allow businesses to legally refuse service to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. Things got heated between Malloy and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough when the latter pointed to an article in The Washington Post that said several other states have passed laws similar to Indiana's with much less public uproar and fewer boycotts . Malloy argued that Indiana's law is distinguished by Pence aligning himself with the anti-LGBT-rights community. That’s what a newly patented technology developed by Apple would do. Apple was granted the patent by the U.S. Patent Office today. “In the embodiment of the invention, a mobile device is configured to automatically lock based on determining that a user’s face is no longer present in the image captured by the device’s built-in camera,” the patent reads. You wouldn’t need TouchID or a password any more, only a quick picture of your face. If the phone didn’t recognize the your face it would lock itself. And it keeps snapping pictures now and then to make sure the authenticated user is still using the phone. The phone might also decide to snap a quick pic if it senses that it has been been motionless for a while. The technology might work on other Apple devices, too, like iPads or iCars. The AFL-CIO labor federation gathered about 200 people, mostly union members, in Washington on Tuesday for a three-day training on immigration advocacy. Part of that training will be focused on teaching people how to apply for Obama's immigration executive action programs, which are currently on hold by a court order. "If anyone asks you why we’re holding this training now, while we wait for a judge to either clear the way or put up another hurdle, tell them this progress can be stalled but it cannot be stopped," AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said. "We’ve come this far. We’re going forward. We will not stop." The initial triumph over Obama's November announcement that he would grant reprieve to more undocumented immigrants has turned into disappointment and confusion over the past six weeks, after a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to prevent the policies from moving forward. Now, the more than 4 million undocumented immigrants who might be eligible for Obama's reprieve programs are in a holding pattern, and advocates are doing their best to keep them from losing hope. If you're scratching your head and wondering why Microsoft is making a new web browser from scratch, just take a look at this chart: Internet Explorer, which not long ago totally dominated the browser market, has been eclipsed in recent years by Google Chrome, according to stats compiled by Dadaviz . Older versions of Explorer had their problems, and even though the newest version is pretty good, people rarely use it. So it's back to the drawing board for Microsoft. When Microsoft releases Windows 10 later this year, it'll come with a new browser, which is codenamed Project Spartan for now. (Explorer will still stick around, but it seems likely that Microsoft will phase it out over time.) On Monday, Microsoft released an early version of Spartan to public testers of Windows 10. Spartan isn't even close to finished, but it does give us a good idea where Microsoft is headed. Why do men fail to trust women? In his last post responding to Damon Young's HuffPo piece , Alastair suggested a number of reasons men fail to trust women -- including that men are taught not to trust their own (nor women's) feelings, differences in perception and experience, a gendered confidence gap, and a number of salient issues that pertain to allegations of abuse and why the abused one (often, a woman) has a hard time being believed. Here is one additional, glaring thing that I wanted to add: haven't men always failed to trust women, because somehow there is an innate belief that women are less trustworthy? History is replete with examples of women's testimonies in court not being believed, of women being considered hysterical witnesses, of women not being considered as able to participate in discussion, weigh opinions, to vote. I am grateful to be a woman in the 21st century rather than in the 18th century, when I would not have been able to participate in both law school and seminary -- both realms considered beyond the reach of women (a hat tip here to Hannah More , as one of the women who worked hard to change the world despite being an 18th century woman!) Few people on either side of the border realize that school shootings were invented in Canada , not the U.S. — a good 20 years before Columbine, as a matter of fact. Canada’s worst — the 1989 killing of 14 female engineering students by evil white man Marc Lepine (Muslim) Gamil Gharbi — was the impetus behind the nation’s utterly pointless long gun registry. Every year, Canadian liberals and progressives “celebrate” the December 6 anniversary (I call it “Never Hear the End of It” Day ), because at least until recently, that registry (like “free” “health” “care”) was one of the Canadian things they were most proud of. Then Harper’s Conservatives, as promised, abolished the registry. A recent Supreme Court decision upheld the government’s right to destroy all its data. (Another moot point: Thanks to the ingenious Great Canadian Gun Registry Shuffle , those records were rendered useless anyhow.) Here and in the U.S., we gun-rights types are used to being scolded with the phrase, “You’d change your mind if one of your relatives got shot.” Well, meet Claude Colgan. Mike Pence spent his weekend ungraciously leaping from the path of questions on the effects and intentions of the new Indiana law allowing public discrimination against gay Americans under the general banner of religious freedom , but one of the few things he has been quite sure of is that this new law is no different from any of the 1990s-era laws, dubbed Religious Freedom Restoration Acts , that other states passed back then. VLADIVOSTOK -- Kim Jong-un is scheduled to visit Moscow this May as one of the Kremlin's numerous guests of honor for the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. This will be his first visit abroad since he succeeded his father Kim Jong-il as the ruler of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in December 2011. Kim Jong-un's trip to Moscow is one indication of the warming relationship between Russia and North Korea. The past year has seen a flurry of high-level exchanges between Moscow and Pyongyang. The two countries have concluded a number of agreements aimed at expanding their economic ties. To top it off, 2015 was designated official Year of Friendship between Russia and the DPRK. Russia-North Korea relations are now at their best since the collapse of the Soviet Union, when the two communist countries were considered allies. The current renaissance of Russian-North Korean friendship is due to several reasons. Ostracized and penalized by the U.S.-led West over its actions in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin is seeking closer ties with the regimes that have the reputation of being anti-American. A coalition of Arab states, led by Saudi Arabia, began bombing Yemen on March 26. The coalition's partners include the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Jordan . It is also supported by Turkey , Pakistan , and Egypt . The bombing, dubbed Operation Decisive Storm , has been receiving intelligence and logistical support from the United States Central Command that is responsible for all the Middle East and southwest Asia. The goal of the Saudi-led coalition is to defeat the Houthis, who belong to the Shiite branch of Islam and whose forces had overthrown the central government in Sanaa. The Houthis, who represent about 40 percent of Yemen's population, take their name from Hussein Badr Al-Deen Houthi , a Shiite religious leader who had visited Iran in the 1990s, and led the movement until he was killed in 2004. Saudi Arabia's excuse for the attacks was articulated by Adel al-Jubeir, its ambassador to the United States, who said , "Having Yemen fail cannot be option for us or for our coalition partners." The first cases were brought in Denmark, with anti-piracy lawfirm Maqs demanding fines of roughly 250 euros per infringement. After collecting several successful payments the scheme is now getting traction locally, especially following reports that Popcorn Time has become more popular than Netflix. “You could say that the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ letters have been a success in the number of inquiries that have come in,” Maqs’ lawyer Jeppe Brogaard Clausen told DR , noting that new letters are still being sent out for Dallas Buyers Club. One of the filmmakers interested in the “speculative invoicing” scheme is Danish producer Ronnie Fridthjof. Together with other industry players he’s determined to go after Popcorn Time users. “I had hoped that politicians and the police would take care of such matters, but unfortunately that hasn’t happened. When my business is threatened, I am more or less forced to do something,” Fridthjof tells TV2 . It’s no secret, the St. Louis Blues have one of the deepest back-ends in the entire league. With nine defencemen to choose from every night head coach Ken Hitchcock has more than his fair share of options. That being said, he has stated time and time again that he will dress the player’s who will give his team the best chance to win. One of his options is veteran Jay Bouwmeester. Bouwmeester is a coaches dream when you look at what he brings to the table every single night. He comes in a 6’4, skates like he is a small puck moving d-man, and is rarely not in the proper position. He is the kind of defenceman that you want on the ice at the end of the game to protect the lead, he’s not flashy and does all the little things right. Nonetheless, he is on pace to have his worst offensive season ever, begging the question: does he need rest leading up to the playoffs? Let’s rewind to earlier this season, Bouwmeester played in his 900th NHL career game at the age of 31, which is just flat-out impressive when you think about it.
