Pictures circulating on social media show building materials and household items littering a street in Regina Beach, Sask. The home was near the post office and there is a large hole in the side of that building. Debris is hanging from trees and power lines. The town says on Facebook that it was a gas explosion and no one has been reported injured so far. RCMP say it’s possible that numerous houses in the vicinity are affected and they are asking people to stay away from the area. STARS air ambulance tweeted that it had dispatched a chopper to the town. Judy Forster told radio station CJME that she felt the explosion in the realty office where she works about a block away. We didn’t know what the heck was going on, and then all of a sudden our ceiling came down “We heard a big boom and we didn’t know what the heck was going on, and then all of a sudden our ceiling came down,” she said. “Everything shook. We thought it was an earthquake.” Jaime Herman told CJME she heard a loud bang in her home two blocks away.
