The Ottawa Police Service closed several main streets in downtown Ottawa early Monday morning after reports of yet another shooting in the city. Bank Street was briefly closed between Laurier Avenue and Albert Street as part of the investigation, but was later opened at around 5:30 a.m. The reporting shooting follows Boxing Day’s gang-related gunfire at the Tanger Outlet Mall, the 46th in Ottawa this year and the most in the city’s history. One man suffered a wound to his foot from a .40-calibre bullet and was sent to hospital, two more were arrested and later released, and two more were being sought.
