FAIRFAX, Va. (WJLA) – It’s the kind of camping trip where the sweetness comes not from smores, but from deals. From Best Buy to Target, hundreds of shoppers waited all day to guarantee a good price on anything from tech to toys. “I couldn’t sleep. I had to get up,” said Harris Cabrera. At the Kmart in Annandale, Virginia, shoppers only had to wait until 6 a.m. to get started. "There's such great deals. You gotta get it. You just gotta get it,” said resident Sherry Robinson. At Walmart, it looked like any other day with many people still shopping for the big meal…like diedre rector of chantilly… "I just needed a quick stop, get my daughter something, a couple last minute things so i was happy they were open" The decision to spend Thankgiving Day in front of a closed store certainly isn't for everyone, but if you ask resident Mark Burroughs, there's no need to choose between eating and waiting. "All you're gonna do is sit around the house anyway you might as well sit around somewhere and be productive,” said Burroughs.
