Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told CBS’ Face the Nation Sunday morning that every potential presidential candidate — including Hillary Clinton but excluding Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) — could have negotiated a better Iran nuclear that President Barack Obama did. Graham claimed this really was the best deal Obama, specifically, could get, “because the Iranians don’t fear nor do they respect him.” “Is there a better deal to be had?” Graham wondered. “I think so. What I would suggest is if you can’t get there with this deal, is to keep the interim deal in place, allow a new president in 2017, Democrat or Republican, to take a crack at the Iranian program.” RELATED: Raddatz to Netanyahu: Why Would Obama Want a Deal That ‘Threatened Israel’s Survival?’ “The best deal I think comes with the new president,” he continued. “Hillary Clinton would do better. I think everybody on our side, except maybe Rand Paul, can do better. That is one way of looking at this program: keeping the interim deal in place, it’s been fairly successful have a new crack at it with a new president that doesn’t have the baggage of Obama.” Watch the clip below, via CBS News: OO.ready(function() { OO.Player.create('ooyalaplayer-9rN3ZjdDr8TDt5ti4riDmpjX7WFZpwbi', '9rN3ZjdDr8TDt5ti4riDmpjX7WFZpwbi'); }); Please enable Javascript to watch.
