Bobbi Kristina was released last month from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and has been moved to an undisclosed location, but her condition at the time remained unchanged. Optus CEO opens a can of worms. Optus CEO Allan Lew has hinted that he'd like to charge streaming services such as Netflix, Presto and Stan extra to ensure a quality service. Lew made the comments at the Commsday summit in Sydney on Monday morning, where he said Optus would consider charging services a premium fee "to ensure that the optimised, or the best customer experience is achieved by the end user. "We need to make sure that the [over-the-top providers] — whether they're Netflix or others — understand that to preserve the network quality and give you an HD video in the homes, they need to work collaboratively with us," Fairfax reports. At the same time, Lew, the CEO of one of Australia's biggest ISPs, said Optus would "continue to preserve Net Neutrality." The Heart Foundation in NSW is currently implementing an advocacy strategy to persuade the NSW Government to regulate e-cigarettes under our existing State tobacco control legislation. With the recent State election on 28 March 2015, it has been an ideal time to drive our advocacy campaign calling for an amendment to NSW legislation to effect: A ban on sales and marketing of e-cigarettes to children and A ban on the use of e-cigarettes in public places where smoking is already banned. We are not calling for a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes to adults in NSW nor would the amendments stop adult smokers from continuing to buy or use e-cigarettes as a replacement for tobacco products. According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports , the team will sign Tebow tomorrow as they begin their offseason program. Per Glazer, Tebow is being looked at as a quarterback. When asked about Tebow during the NFL owners meetings, Kelly said simply: “I’ve always been a fan of Tim.” What to make of the signing? There’s obviously no guarantee that Tebow will stick on the 53-man roster. The Eagles have 90 spots to work with in the offseason, and apparently Kelly thinks it makes sense to use one of them on Tebow. It’s hard to believe that Tebow would have any chance to make the squad as a straight-up quarterback. But maybe Kelly believes Tebow can fill some kind of specialized role. Or maybe he just needs another arm for the spring. Currently, the Eagles have four quarterbacks on the roster: Sam Bradford , Mark Sanchez , Matt Barkley and G.J. Kinne . Tebow will be the fifth, but it’s unclear when Bradford will be ready to practice. We’ll see if the Eagles add another quarterback in the draft later this month. Tebow spent the 2013 offseason with the Patriots but was released as the team cut down the roster to 53. The last time he actually played in the NFL was in 2012 with the Jets. In a radio interview Sunday, Princeton University ethics professor Peter Singer argued it is “reasonable” for government or private insurance companies to deny treatment to severely disabled babies. Singer contended the health-care system under Obamacare should be more overt about rationing and that the country should acknowledge the necessity of “intentionally ending the lives of severely disabled infants.” Throughout the interview, Singer repeatedly referred to a disabled infant as “it.” Singer was speaking on the “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and Philadelphia’s NewsTalk 990 AM. The Princeton professor is known for his controversial views on abortion and infanticide. Tebow has been out of the league and working as an ESPN college football commentator since he got cut by the New England Patriots before the 2013 season. He worked out with Philadelphia in March. That workout was apparently good enough to get him a contract. He still has a long way to go. NFL teams are allowed to carry 90 players at this point in the league year. Despite the hue and cry over recent deaths in Ode-Irele in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, residents carry on without care, write FEMI MAKINDE and GBENGA ADENIJI Motorists irritatingly blared horns, shops opened for sales, children ran gaily on the streets, relaxation joints were filled to the brim and soothing music filtered loudly from speakers in halls where ceremonies held. The above scenario captured activities in Irele, a town in Ondo State when our correspondents arrived the place on Saturday. It looked as if it was not the town in the news lately where scores of lives were reportedly lost to unknown ailment in the past few days. With caution, our correspondents approached some of the residents, keeping measured distances as directions were sought to areas. This was expected especially as the ailment, which had reportedly killed 17 male adults, exhibited symptoms such as headache, blurred vision and sudden death. Most of the residents were not unaware of the magnitude of the issue at hand. In fact, one of them laughed heartily when he learnt that the belief was that the ailment could have afflicted many of the inhabitants. “We are fine here. Nothing is wrong with us,” he said. Another resident, Mr. Jobi Enimade, said he was not bothered by the stories flying around about the deaths in the town. He said, “We heard many of the stories regarding the development. If you own an iDevice then you've probably noticed that Apple has been stuffing its mobile devices with more and more bloatware: apps which you don't need and cannot remove. I've certainly noticed the problem on my new iPad; in fact, I have a screen-full of apps which I mostly don't use: To be fair, I do use four of the 5 apps on the bottom bar, but I don't use the rest of the apps very much. And in the case of the Apple Watch, Newsstand, Maps, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, and Clock apps, I don't use them ever. Luckily there is a solution. WASHINGTON – Russia and Iran are moving past their historically rocky relationship with a new signal from Moscow that Tehran would be welcome in its Eurasian Economic Union, according to a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin. Iran’s response is that a good first step would be “preferential tariff” agreements. The EEU widely has been perceived as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s cloaked effort to re-establish the former Soviet Union and compete head on with the troubled European Union. Now it appears to be a potential tool in Russia’s effort to get an economic jump on the West in any future business deals with Iran. Economic trade has been openly discussed as a possibility depending on a final agreement between Tehran and the West over its nuclear program. The overture to Tehran is from EEU Chairman Viktor Khristenko, who during a recent meeting with Iranian ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanayee called for Iran’s membership in the group. “We are willing to see Iran’s membership and its active and effective cooperation with the union,” Khristenko said, Fars News reported. Helsinki (AFP) - Finns go to the polls on Sunday in legislative elections expected to oust the left-right government after a campaign that has focused heavily on how to lift Finland out of a three-year economic slump. Public opinion polls have predicted a resounding victory for the liberal-agrarian Centre Party leader Juha Sipila, a 53-year-old IT millionaire and newcomer to politics. Campaigning heavily on his business know-how, Sipila has vowed to get the economy back on track after three years of recession and stagnation, austerity and failed reforms. "Our country deserves better," Sipila wrote on his blog on Saturday. "Politics must be returned to a climate of trust." Elected to parliament in 2011, Sipila became party leader in 2012 when he was still virtually unknown to most Finns. In opposition since 2011, the Centre has recently been credited with around 24 percent of voter support. If its victory is confirmed on Sunday, Sipila's first task will be to pick his coalition partners. Tradition dictates that the largest party takes the post of prime minister and forms a government with the other largest parties to obtain a majority in parliament. Several weeks of thorny negotiations are expected before Sipila is able to present a coalition. The company recently introduced a new Play Store section that highlights “Games You Can Feel” on your smartphone or tablet. The new section includes 15 games, including Angry Birds Friends, Ninja Hero Cats, Drag Racing, a couple of Grand Theft Auto titles and even an air guitar app called Solo Air . Every app listed here was designed using tactile technology called TouchSense Engage from Immersion, a company focused on combining the technology with mobile devices. “Over the past few months, Immersion has worked closely with leading mobile game developers to customize tactile effects for their games,” said Jason Patton, general manager and vice president of Content and Media at Immersion. “From this effort, we are seeing a whole new user experience emerge – one that is more immersive and engaging for mobile game players.
